What is Balance Your Basics?

Balance Your Basics is a tool for balancing the Body and Mind… safely, gently, and invisibly through online recorded BodyTalk balancing sessions. It is suitable as clinical services support for classrooms or organizations.  

Daily use of BYB can help meet staff and student health and wellness needs in only minutes a day because of the exponential impact of ‘healing through observation.’

What happens in the videos?

Each video in the BYB series offers a balancing session on a topic. You simply watch, follow along with the guided instructions, and live the changes!

How does it work?

As a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, Jen OC introduces ways your body and mind (BodyMind) can be balanced. Then these balancing possibilities can be integrated by tapping at the Head, Heart and Gut Brains.

Over the following days, a wide range of benefits can be experienced as your BodyMind adjusts to the changes.

Can this help MY problem?

Anything is possible! After participating in a session for the first time, you can then personalize it for YOUR needs. Past BYB participants have shared improvements in physical symptoms, mental well being, emotional stability, communication in relationships, and overall capacity. Many expressed seeing the improvements they hoped for… and so much more!

What changes might I notice?

You may find that you feel surprisingly fine. Past participants have noticed some immediate changes in how their body feels or moves, and generally a ‘softening’ or improvement in physical symptoms, better ability to manage their stresses and responsibilities, and improvements in sleep and overall well being.

You might also notice your body’s needs… so if you feel tired, thirsty, or hungry… please give your body what it needs.

What can I expect in a session?

You will be sitting.

You will be watching.

You will be tapping.

You will be breathing.

You will NOT have to understand everything for the session to work.

You will NOT be exercising, stretching, or physically challenged in any way.

You will NOT be sharing your story. You will NOT be asked to remember past trauma.

Are there any side effects?

Your body knows what it needs. It will only choose to receive from the session what is good and helpful for you. No participants have shared any negative effects.

A few have shared that the program has increased their bodily awareness, having them notice symptoms they hadn’t been aware of before. The program has been helpful in improving both long-term and new symptoms. BYB offers a kind and gentle healing way.

Will the videos work if I watch them again?

Yes. These videos have been designed to work repeatedly, each time with different results. We have found the best results come from watching the same video 5-7x or more per weekly.

What is the time commitment?

Each BYB topic includes:

Preview Video – This can be presented as part of a 10-minute introduction or extended to a 30 or 60-minute exploration of the experience.

Daily Practice Video – This runs 7-12 minutes in length and can be used repeatedly and personalized for participant needs.

Can I do this while being treated by someone else?

Yes. BYB can compliment or support any other form of treatment or therapy.

Will this trigger my trauma?

Past participants have said that these sessions have been stabilizing and helpful… not triggering.

Can I access the videos on my phone/with an app?

Yes! There is a free app you can download for easy access on your phone.
